Councillors who support the new rules about curbside patios for restaurants in downtown Collingwood say the plan deserves a chance to work.
Tim McNabb says he has been hearing from merchants who are worried about spending money for a new patio if the issue is going to be revisited after the election.
Councillor Dave Labelle says it is time to move forward the plan and discussions have been going on for two years and council made its decision. Labelle was criticized for saying in an email that it was time to “get over it”, the councillor says he stands by comment.
