Rushing it aren't we!

I handle the In-Touch community events information here at the Peak and wasn't I surprised at one I received earlier this week. It was for a Christmas Bazaar and Bake sale in November. Now, that is what I call organization.

Let the 153rd Annual GNE begins. While I was working in the yard yesterday afternoon, I delighted in seeing Past President Bruce Burgess zip by on an old John Deere vintage tractor headed for the fairground. Hot on his heals was an old Red and Grey Ford. Both were shining like a star. A little later, two more puttered on down the Nottawa Side Road. As a kid off the farm, I always enjoy perusing the large collection of old machinery at the fair. Kudos to all those folks reveille in the preservation of our heritage.

I hear a Drew Crew team has been formed to Run/Walk in the CIBC Run For The Cure. Drew can't be there because of CTV commitments but sends his best. If you would like to sponsor them, go to www.cbcf.org and lay down your money. Oh yah, Steve Amis from our area Subway shops is looking for sponsorship as well. Your help would be most appreciated by all the teams taking part.

Well, I better get out of here and head down to the fairgrounds to set up for my broadcast there on Friday from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. Race you to the Candy Apples!
