Well, he begged us to vote for him one more time at Drew Stock so he could continue on Canadian Idol and then have the chance to tour Canada. Looks like his wish came true as Drew Wright did advance for another week. Again, we'll have to keep voting big time while encouraging others to do the same. Let's just say, he's on the podium so to speak and now we await the colour of the achievement. Go get 'em Drew.
My wife and I decided to jump on our bikes and come into Collingwood on Tuesday on what was a super sunny summer afternoon. Definitely, it was one of the best days of the summer so far. We came via the rail trail, toured along the banks of the Pretty River on down to Sunset Point Park. Then proceeded to the end of the spit for a very enjoyable ride, returning home the same way. Kudos to Collingwood on their trail system. What a treat for the physically active.
Oh yah, one other thing. I got a real kick out of seeing a youngster flying a kite at Sunset Point Park. I can't remember the last time I saw someone doing that. A lot of spectators were enjoying the sight of a Pirate Ship design kite that I had to marvel at. It certainly was appropriate for that location. I felt like a kid again, watching it. Summer is flying by quickly, so get out there and enjoy it!
