Wow! Now this is what I call summer! Sunshine for the next three days with temps up near 30C! I'm lovin' it. I finally....I say FINALLY...managed to get in swimming at the cottage. It still took my breath away until I got use to it. I went out to the diving raft only to discover that a darned Muskrat made a nest under it during the winter when it was close to shore. I guess I'll have to pop a few boards in order to clean that out. There is always a job to do at the cottage EH!
I had Bruce Burgess on the CHATS program this morning and don't they have an exciting family event planned for this weekend at the GNE grounds...Antique Car Show...Mud Bog...Midway...Stayner Toy and Collectable show...Gas Powered R/C Car Racing...entertainment and of course a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast. Check it out Saturday and Sunday.
And as the saying goes, Kids Say The Darnedest Things...
Kudos to the Kids!
While I sat in the reception area of my doctor's office, a woman rolled an
elderly man in a wheelchair into the room. As she went to the
receptionist's desk, the man sat there, alone and silent.
Just as I was thinking I should make small talk with him, a little boy slipped
off his mother's lap and walked over to the wheelchair. Placing his hand on
the man's, he said, 'I know how you feel. My mom makes me ride in the stroller too.'.
