First off, I would like to thank the staff at the Collingwood Nursing Home for their great hospitality yesterday when I dropped by to play some Flashback music for the residents. I particularly enjoyed the Strawberry milkshake as we flashed back to the good old Diner Days when that was a staple! And as well, thank you for the certificate of appreciation I received last night at your gathering. It is most appreciated from this end. Congrats and thanks to all the volunteers who contribute their time to the residents.
Collingwood has out done themselves again at the annual Super Cities Walk for MS. Check out these numbers! Thanks to all who participated.
4.9 million dollars was raised in Ontario at the MS Walk on Sunday.
In Barrie, donations are over 137-thousand dollars.
Orillia came in at 52-thousand, more then 77-thousand in Collingwood, 34-thousand in Alliston and over 27-thousand dollars in Midland.
Nearly 31-thousand was pledged in Bracebridge.
The money will be used for support services and research into multiple sclerosis.
