It is really disturbing to me, to see the escalation in insurgency deaths of Canadian Soldiers. When these recent wars started, I sure didn't think we would have the numbers of casualties we have experienced. Like most Canadians, I wrestle with the question of pulling our troops out ASAP. One part of me says yes, but another says no because of the supreme sacrifices already made. Would that be fair to those families? Life certainly isn't a bowl of cherries is it?
And then I receive an e-mail from a listener alerting me to an amber alert. Again, this is another very disturbing development. She sent me a picture of the missing girl, so I thought why not put it up on my blog. You just never know if someone viewing this might recognize the little girl. If so, contact your nearest OPP detachment immediately.
On a brighter note, Meteorologist David Phillips from Environment Canada, hinted on my CHATS program this morning that spring might be close at hand and that hopefully, Mother Nature would make it up to us this summer, after that cool wet one we had last year! Lets hope so.
