Now, wasn't that a super combo weekend of Valentines Day and Family Day! Thanks Dalton for the long holiday weekend.
I was at the cottage and discovered a huge accumulation of very heavy icy snow about two to three feet deep. I'm figuring that it was at the breaking point, so a word to the wise is sufficient if the roof on your cottage is suspect when it comes to snow load. Best to get it off as quickly as possible so you don't have a disaster on your hand this spring!
And how about all those inviting ponds on fields all over central Ontario. I've never seen so many people out on them enjoying a good 'Ol fashion style of winter fun . Now that's what I call, a super way to spend Family Day. That's the way I remember it when I was a kid.
