I'm still trying to figure out the phenomenon I encountered this morning on my bike ride into the station. A number of the bright lights of Collingwood and Wasaga Beach appeared a streaks up into the air, almost like search lights. I wonder what causes that. Guess I'll have to quiz my buddy David Phillips from Environment Canada on that one. It sure was neat to look at!
I'll be glad when this cold snap is over. I needed my balaclava again this morning as the temperature had plummeted to -28, wind chill -31. No wonder my feet felt a little cold for the first time this winter. Still can't get over the call for rain on Saturday with a high of plus seven. A late January thaw I guess.
