Looks like the ghost of technical problems past caused havoc with our transmitter this morning. That sure upsets the apple cart when I'm trying hard to promote our 29th annual Christmas draw in support of the G&M Hospital. There are still lots of the Collus Power Conservation packages to be had if you spend over $25.00 on tickets. Pop into the Peak and grab one. Each is a $40.00 value. That way, you can have a good look at all the prizes we have received so far. And If you or your business would like to donate one to the cause, bring it on in too so I can start mentioning it and also get it on our web site.
And surprise! As I'm writing this, my good friend Robert Adams walked through the front door with an incredible prize. After 60 hours of hand carving, he delivered an absolutely gorgeous Chess Set in the shape of a box of beautiful wood, All of the pieces are carved out of Butternut and Basswood which makes for an outstanding contrast. The box is made from Black Cherry. The value...$250.00! This will obviously become a family heirloom. And special thanks to his wife Verna, who hand painted a beautiful Santa's Workshop scene on a wooden sleigh. Value...$125.00! I'll be envious of anyone who wins these prizes.
I received a very nice thank you letter from the Collingwood Agricultural Society for my support of the 153rd GNE! It is my pleasure to help the society since I'm originally off a farm near Midland. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the board of directors. I'm looking forward to the 154th. Cheers!
