The Power of Suggestion!!!

Friday, October 03, 2008

This week, we have been blessed with a number of books by area authors being donated as prizes for the Peak-FM / Collingwood Hospital Foundation 29th Annual Christmas Draw. Thursday, Judy Ross joined me on CHATS to talk about her latest book...A VIEW OF THE BAY, COLLINGWOOD AND BEYOND. Thanks to her publicist Mike Miller of Boston Mills Press, we have two copies as prizes for the draw that she has autographed. So, we're on a roll when it comes to book worms! Of course, I just happened to mention that if anyone would like to provide a prize, they could contact us here at the Peak or drop by the Hospital Foundation office with it. And VOILA!...Gail Mumford walked through the door today with a Hamilton Beach Timed Coffee maker complete with travel mugs, coffee and filters worth about 80 dollars. NICE! Thanks Gail. So, now we're off and running with the draw. This is going to be fun again.

We're well aware of the wonderful trail system Collingwood has in conjunction with the Georgian Trail! Well, there is exciting news in Clearview Township as well, with the announcement of the Clearview Trail Link Unveiling. That will take place on October 25th at Centennial Park in Stayner at 1 P.M. Apparently, there will be gifts for the kids. I'm getting pumped about that project. As a matter of fact, I will have Councillor Doug Measures on the CHATS program with me on October 23rd at 9:05 to talk about it.

Has the male in your household made any comments about the housework that has to be done around your house? Well ladies, you may get a chuckle out of this one...Have a great weekend...

Housework
was a woman's job, but one evening, Jenny arrived home from work to find the children bathed, one load of
laundry in the washer and another in the dryer. Dinner
was on the stove, and the table set. She was
astonished!
It turns out that Ralph had read an
article that said, 'Wives who work full-time and had to
do their own housework were too tired to have
sex'.
The night went very well. The next
day, she told her office friends all about it. 'We had a great dinner. Ralph even cleaned up the kitchen. He
helped the kids do their homework, folded all the
laundry and put it away. I really enjoyed the
evening.'
'But what about afterward?' asked her
friends.
'Oh, that ..., Ralph was too
tired..'
