There's plenty going on in our area in the way of concerts this summer. Wakestock, for example has some great bands from the community that are going to be playing, which I can't wait for...Fall and Divide and Midway State, that's gonna be crazy.
Summer, and I just don't know what it is about summer, but it really makes me want to go see live-music. There's something different and amazing about a summer out-door concert under the stars.
But first, a question that I'm asking you! What was your all-time favourite concert you've ever been to in your lives? haha, I bet it was during summer sometime.
I have some great concert moments, but one thing I've never done is see Coldplay concert, one of my favourite bands. They did 2 shows at the ACC last July, as the start of the Viva La Vida tour, and Toronto was one of only four cities chosen around the world to host one of the 2nd legs of the tour, which ends this fall. They've been on the road for a year and a half!
Anyways, I got tickets to see them on July 30th in Toronto, and I couldn't be more excited for that. It's going to be one MASSIVE show at the Rogers Centre, and they're opening up the floor to put the capacity somewhere around 60-70 thousand or something insane.
From a few people that I know who went to the 2006 show when they were here, it was apparently the best show ever. Here's a clip from the Live DVD they recorded when they were here in 2006!
Can't wait for July 30th.
Have a great Tuesday,
