From Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison to the Traveling Wilburys , all this week we’ve looked at the production genius of Jeff Lynne.
We wrap it up this week with the band that started him off to super-stardom! It as the front man for Electric Light Orchestra he first found global success.
He wrote and produced or co-produced ELO albums from the very beginning going back as far as 1972 it was the 1977 album Out of the Blue that would be the pinnacle of the bands success. Lynne began his move toward focusing almost exclusively on studio production work in the 1983.
It wasn’t until 2014 that he would appear again with ELO and just recently Jeff Lynne and his Electric Light Orchestra have announced a summer 2018 North American arena tour, the Rock Hall-inducted band’s first U.S. trek in over 35 years. The tour hits Toronto on August 18th!
