Simcoe Muskoka’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a declaration of widespread influenza.
This means we’re at or near the peak of activity in our area, which can last for two to four weeks.
They’re warning the public to be even more vigilant in protecting themselves, including frequent hand washing, getting good amounts of sleep, and having good nutrition habits.
They urge anyone with the flu to stay home and avoid contact with people.
