Kevin Godley and Lol Creme were childhood friends that eventually founded the UK art/pop band 10cc.
Godley and Creme were certainly art side of the art/pop equation and after a few hits in the mid 70s the pair quite the band to pursue less traditional forms of musical expression.
Along with recording music the duo also got interested in the burgeoning art form of music videos. Until the early 80s music videos were nothing more than promotional items to introduce new music but with the rise of Music Television many artists were exploring the medium as an art form in itself.
Godley and Creme not only made videos for themselves but went on to be award winning video producers and directors for artists like Ultravox, The Police, Yes, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and more
To many this is their most complete success a top 40 hit song and the unique analog cross fading video became an award winning music television staple.
