The OPP are busy investigating two separate cases of break-ins and thefts.
The search is on for a man wanted for a string of break-ins along Highway 89 between Alliston and Shelburne. Simcoe.com reports that police were called about the break-ins on September 15th. OPP officers found a U-Haul at one of the locations and were able to arrest a man from Brampton, but a second suspect is sought after he fled the scene and broke into two other businesses. Police have the suspect caught on video surveillance, and you can see the image here.
It turns out September 15th was a busy day for the OPP. They’re asking for the public’s help in locating a cargo trailer that was stolen in Angus that night. Police say that the trailer was stolen from the Zancor construction site on Wagner Crescent. The trailer did not have plates and contained up to $16,000 worth of equipment and tools. Police have descriptions for the suspect’s vehicle and the trailer, which you can find here.
