Simcoe-Grey’s MPP Jim Wilson has invited the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry to join him at the beach.
Simcoe.com reports that on September 13th in the Ontario legislature, Wilson told Kathryn McGarry that residents in the Wasaga Beach area have been raising maintenance issues for years and haven’t been heard. He asked McGarry to pay a visit to the town for a tour, and to meet with locals to see what their concerns are that are not being addressed.
McGarry said that Ontario Parks continues to work with the municipality on maintenance issues, and defended the ministry’s approach to allow native grasses to take root in the dunes. You can read more here.
