The OPP are investigating a plane crash in Tiny Township involving an ultralight aircraft.
Officials were called to a private airstrip near Mertz Corner Road and Baseline Road yesterday evening, where a plane that was attempting to land ended up in a nearby cornfield.
The pilot, who is a man in his early 50’s, was taken to hospital for serious injuries. Reports say he will be transported by Air Ambulance to a Toronto trauma centre once he is stabilized.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) and the OPP continue to investigate, and say that more details will be provided when available.
