Three months after she came under fire for posing with the fake decapitated head of Donald Trump in a photo shoot, Kathy Griffin says she’s retracting her apology. “I am no longer sorry, the whole outrage was B.S., the whole thing got so blown out of proportion,” the comedian complained via satellite interview an the Australian morning show. Griffin has changed her tune in the months since she released a tearful apology video for the “disturbing” photos featuring the president’s bloody head. Griffin fought back, saying, “You’re full of crap. Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the president of the United States is committing […] I’ve been talking to Australians who, for the first time, are saying ‘We’re afraid to go to America.’ I never thought I would hear that in my lifetime.” Read more here.
Many wealthy celebrities are doing what they can to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey in the U.S. On Sunday, Kevin Hart called out out his fellow celebrities to help: “I’m going to start a real challenge […] I’m challenging a lot of my celebrity friends to follow my lead in donating $25,000 Hurricane Harvey, to the Red Cross.” Kim Kardashian and her family donated $500,000, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez each pledged a $25,000 donation, and Sandra Bullock donated $1 million to the Red Cross to aid in relief efforts in Texas.
