Selling The Town of Collingwood’s shares in the local hydro distribution company is still open for discussion.
According to Simcoe.com, an in-camera session took place at the council meeting on Monday where council received a confidential report from the solicitor. After this report, they passed a motion authorizing its solicitor and CAO to “proceed with negotiations with EPCOR and the requisite draft agreements”.
The municipality has been discussing the sale of its 50% stake in Collus PowerStream with EPCOR since January. Collingwood’s Mayor Sandra Cooper told Simcoe.com that council isn’t sure when the decision will be made, but they want to give the public a chance to comment.
