Chateau Miraval is where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie became husband and wife back in 2014, and now the sprawling estate is bringing the divorced exes together one more time — as plaintiffs in a lawsuit. As The Guardian reports, the former couple are being sued by designer Odile Soudant, who was in charge of the lighting for the multimillion-dollar renovation of their chateau in the south of France, and now claims that Brangelina stiffed her on more than a half-million euros for work completed. Pitt and Jolie, she claims in her suit, “drove her company towards financial ruin by failing to honour bills for a multimillion-euro project to illuminate the 17th-century property.” Read more here.
It seems TV network HBO is under attack from all sides, after several of the network’s Twitter accounts were hacked on Wednesday evening. Multiple accounts for HBO shows, including True Blood, Silicon Valley, Veep and Vinyl, were taken over, along with HBO’s main account and various Help accounts. The message posted to each account read: “Hi, OurMine are here, we are just testing your security ,HBO team please contact us to upgrade the security – ourmine .org-> Contact”. Given the recent attacks on HBO, this could be a diversionary tactic; it also serves as another public embarrassment for the beleaguered network. Aretha Franklin has her eyes set on retirement and she already has a place in mind. The legendary singer is set to retire in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan, and has her sights set on a post-retirement career. According to the Detroit Free Press, Franklin wants to open her own club and would like to sing at the club from time to time in addition to hosting other Detroit-based acts. Find out more here.
