Taylor Swift’s civil trial is currently underway in Denver, with the singer in court this week in her ongoing lawsuit against deejay David Mueller. Swift is accusing Mueller of groping her during a meet-and-greet before a 2013 concert. Mueller is suing Swift, saying he was falsely accused and fired for the incident. Swift is countersuing, saying she was sexually assaulted. Yesterday, Swift herself took the stand to testify about being allegedly groped by Mueller, describing the experience as “horrifying” and “shocking”. Read more here.
One of Canada’s most legendary musicians will perform at this year’s Grey Cup Halftime Show. Shania Twain will perform on November 26 at TD Place in Ottawa, and said: “It’s an absolute honour to return to the Grey Cup stage in the nation’s capital during Canada’s 150th birthday […] I’m thrilled to be coming home and being a part of the country’s biggest annual party.” Find the details here.
Oprah Winfrey is already a presence at many supermarket checkout lines, where her photo features on countless magazine covers, including her very own O, The Oprah Magazine. Now, she’ll be in grocery store aisles as well — at least in the US — with her own food brand, called O, That’s Good! Winfrey teamed up with Kraft Heinz to launch a line of refrigerated soups and sides, offering classic American comfort foods with added vegetables.
