Oscar-winning actor Martin Landau passed away Saturday at the age of 89, veteran sportscaster Bob Wolff died on Saturday night at the age of 96, and pioneering director George Romero died on Sunday at the age of 77. On Friday, BBC revealed the identity of the new star of “Doctor Who” after Sunday’s Wimbledon final. The revelation came in a one-minute video in which a cloaked figure is seen walking in a forest, eventually removing the jacket’s hood to reveal British actress Jodie Whittaker, who is the first woman ever to be cast as the time-travelling Doctor in the history of the show. Disney has been revealing the casts of some much-anticipated movie remakes, which include some familiar faces! Hugh Jackman is joining the cast of the “Lion King” live-action remake as the villainous Scar, while Will Smith joins the live-action remake of “Aladdin” in the iconic role of the Genie!
Ed Sheeran made an appearance on last night’s Game of Thrones premiere! He sat alongside real-life friend Maisie Williams, who plays Aria Stark, but he made it known that is character is not on the side of house Stark.
