A recent incident has the OPP wondering who let the dogs out.
A Nottawasaga OPP officer received a serious dog bite to the hand while responding to a trespassing complaint near Alliston last week. Officers got a call around noon on Friday and went to the address on the 15th Line of New Tecumseth to serve a trespass notice.
When they got there, the suspect allegedly released two aggressive dogs into the yard and one of the officers was bitten. The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment and the situation was eventually resolved.
Police charged the 81-year-old New Tecumseth resident with assaulting a peace officer with a weapon and assaulting a peace officer causing bodily harm.
