Now that the boy who climbed underneath a CP rail track in Alliston is safe, he may have to figure out how to explain the situation to his parents.
Firefighters were called to perform a high-angle rescue yesterday after the boy climbed under the rail track on a bridge spanning across the Boyne River. When fire crews arrived, they said the boy was sitting about 10 feet below the track on the bridge abutment which was about 40 feet above the river.
Although they’re unsure how the boy got there and why, they put two firefighters over the side with ropes and harnesses to rescue him.
