A 43-year-old man was arrested by Midland Police on Sunday night after a robbery at a gas station.
Police say the man went into the gas bar store on County Road 93 and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When he was unable to pay, he left the store and took the pack with him.
The man from Vancouver was found a short distance away, where he was arrested and charged with theft, possession of property obtained by crime and mischief.
The man also had a warrant for his arrest from another jurisdiction. He was transported to the Midland Police holding cells where police say he began to damage his cell. He was transferred to the neighbouring jurisdiction via his warrant and will appear in the Barrie Court of Justice on May 15th.
