Alec Baldwin says US President Donald Trump was invited to be on “Saturday Night Live”, but he turned down the offer. Baldwin has been skewering Trump with his impression on the show, but the actor says it might be a good thing for Trump to consider appearing. Baldwin says if he did, it might help “defuse some of the tensions and unpleasantness” that come with his impersonations. He said Trump is being treated no more harshly than others mocked on the show, and that all producers have to do is repeat the stuff Trump does in real life. As Baldwin put it: “Trump is the head writer at SNL.”
Remember the guy who falsely claimed he came up with the idea for “Kung Fu Panda?” He has been sentenced to two years in prison in a case stemming from the deception. He’s also been ordered to pay more than three-million dollars in restitution. Prosecutors say he fabricated and backdated drawings of characters similar to those in Kung Fu Panda, lied during a deposition, and destroyed computer evidence in the case.
Canadian songstress Shania Twain recently revealed that the cause of her temporary vocal struggle was linked to Lyme disease. Back in 2011, she opened up about her struggle with dysphonia, which is a medical condition that left her unable to sing. She now says it was more than stress that led to that condition, and though she doesn’t go into much detail about it, she says that the condition was brought on by Lyme disease. Read more here.
