(SOUTHERN GEORGIAN BAY, ON) – Members from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have concluded their participation in the Easter Long Weekend Seat belt Campaign that took place from April 14, to April 17, 2017.
The officers were focusing on occupant restraints (seat belts) as well the other “Big 4” causes of collisions, speeding, impaired driving and distracted driving. The volumes of traffic over Easter weekend were much higher making this traffic campaign an important part of making Ontario roads safer.
During this Easter weekend campaign, Southern Georgi an Bay OPP laid several charges relating to the “Big 4”.

The Southern Georgian Bay OPP are pleased to say that there were no impaired driving incidents to report during this campaign.
