The Georgian Bay Hotel conference room was full last night for the Collingwood council meeting. Over 300 people were in attendance to discuss the hospital redevelopment.
After more than two hours of discussion, the motion to enact a by-law to amend budget estimates by up to $300,000 to cover the costs of the planning process was deferred to May 8th.
Councillor Lloyd’s motion to direct staff to start the process to consider revisions to the town’s official plan and zoning by-law to include hospital and other medical uses on the preferred Poplar Sideroad location was also deferred.
Collingwood’s Mayor Sandra Cooper will be interviewed on Talk of the Town tomorrow at 8:40am. Listen live for more updates.
