The Mayor of Wasaga Beach and members of Council are pleased to announce that their drinking water system received a rating of 100% from the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change! In Ontario, every drinking water system is subject to the regulations of the Safe Drinking Water Act, so each year the ministry inspects the systems.
Wasaga Beach Mayor Brian Smith says that “reliable and safe drinking water is of the utmost importance for the community of Wasaga Beach. Public Works and Ontario Clean Water Agency staff are commended once again for achieving a 100% rating from the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change. Their continued efforts and due diligence regarding operating, managing and maintaining the Town’s drinking water system ensures safe drinking water for residents and visitors to Wasaga Beach.”
The Final Drinking Water Inspection Report for the Wasaga Beach Drinking Water System is available for review by visiting the Town’s website at www.wasagabeach.com or in person at the Town Hall.
