A federal judge in Massachusetts has dismissed a defamation lawsuit against comedian Bill Cosby, although he still faces criminal charges in Pennsylvania. Yesterday, the judge ruled that Katherine McKee didn’t adequately show Cosby defamed her when his representatives called a 2014 New York Daily News story on her rape allegations defamatory and demanded a retraction. The former actress alleged that Cosby raped her in a Detroit hotel in 1974. McKee was among dozens of women to come forward with allegations recently and among at least eight suing for defamation in Massachusetts. In Pennsylvania, Cosby has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a former employee at Temple University.
TMZ is reporting that Justin Bieber is a suspect in an alleged headbutting incident. Reports say that Bieber headbutted a man at a Grammy pre-party last weekend at 2am. The incident started when Bieber was fighting playfully with actor Kyle Massey, and realized that the two were being recorded by the restaurant staff. Bieber then asked the staff member to stop recording them and to delete the video. The man refused and some of the other party patrons began to record and then that is when Bieber allegedly attacked the man. The restaurant employee called the police and reported the incident, but by the time they arrived Bieber had left. According to TMZ, the victim does not want to press any charges, but a misdemeanor battery investigation is happening and the police are investigating.
