Nicki Minaj has reportedly been the victim of a break-in. TMZ reports that the singer’s 11,500-square-foot Los Angeles mansion had been completely torn apart, with thieves apparently seeking some very particular items — which they seem to have found, reportedly making off with an estimated $200,000 worth of jewelry and other valuable property. Reports say there are signs of forced entry into the home, Minaj was out of town when the burglary occurred, and it also doesn’t appear to be random. “Other sources connected to the case tell us the damage looks like this was personal,” notes TMZ. “They vandalized certain items in the house … destroyed picture frames, perfume bottles, furniture … and even cut up Nicki’s clothing.” So far, police have no suspects, but the investigation continues.
Nordstrom has announced it’s dropping Ivanka Trump’s fashion line due to poor sales and what appears to be an apparently successful boycott of her clothing. As Racked.com reports, Nordstrom doesn’t mention the boycott (launched by Shannon Coulter, focused on the hashtag #GrabYourWallet, that targets all Trump-related brands) in its announcement, simply pointing to sales that were far less than anticipated. “We’ve said all along we make buying decisions based on performance,” noted a Nordstrom spokesperson. “We’ve got thousands of brands — more than 2,000 offered on the site alone. Reviewing their merit and making edits is part of the regular rhythm of our business. Each year we cut about 10 per cent and refresh our assortment with about the same amount. In this case, based on the brand’s performance we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”
