Multiple snow squalls from Georgian Bay are affecting areas east and southeast of the bay. Wind gusts to 75 km/h, heavy snowfall and brief near whiteout conditions will make travel hazardous at times. Local snow fall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible by Thursday morning.
Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Road closures are possible.
Another large storm is coming to southern Ontario Friday night. Snow may mixed with or change to rain over portions of southwestern Ontario later Saturday… and that snow could continue into Saturday night.
Poor travel conditions are expected to develop from west to east across southern Ontario Friday evening and Friday night, and continue into Saturday.
