Tom Hanks helped out with this weekend’s Saturday Night Live sketch about the US election, when he played the role of the moderator in the spoof of the final debate featuring regular’s Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon. Of course, it’s hilarious as always. One highlight was when Trump, played by Baldwin, was bragging about all the A-list supporters he’s garnered, saying: “I’ve got Sarah Palin, I’ve got Chachi. And I’ve even got the best Baldwin brother — Stephen Baldwin.” Watch the full sketch below.
And speaking of the election, pop stars Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry helped out with the Hillary Clinton campaign in their own unique ways. The two celebrities visited different universities and knocked on the doors of dorm rooms to encourage young people to vote. Miley visited George Mason University in Virginia decked out in a patriotic red-white-and-blue ensemble that was very Miley.
And Taylor Swift took the stage for the first concert in almost a year, performing at the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas on Saturday. Following controversy with her ex-Calvin Harris, the night’s biggest surprise was when she performed the song she wrote for him and Rihanna, “This Is What You Came For.” Was this a dig at her ex? Maybe!
