With all the buzz about the US Presidential Campaign, it’s only natural that we start the Hollywood Buzz with a report related to that. Well, this story comes close – it’s about Alec Baldwin’s impersonation of Donald Trump. His impression has been one of the highlights on Saturday Night Live this season, causing fans around the world to laugh. But one of Baldwin’s regular supporters doesn’t support his famous impression! It turns out his brother, Stephen Baldwin, doesn’t approve of Alec’s impression of Trump, saying: “He’s got the voice down very well. I think it’s getting a little too nasty right now,” he told CBS News’ Vladimir Duthiers. “I don’t want to be a party pooper here, but I don’t think it’s very funny.”
It wouldn’t be a Hollywood report if there wasn’t some drama. Lady Gaga threw some shade at Madonna in a recent interview with Beats 1 Radio, reports Billboard. The reporter compared her new album’s theme to that of Madonna’s past work. “Madonna and I are very different,” Gaga quickly replied. “Just saying. We’re very different. I wouldn’t make that comparison at all and I don’t mean to disrespect Madonna, she’s a nice lady, and she’s had a fantastic huge career, biggest pop star of all time. But I play a lot of instruments. I write all my own music. I spend hours and hours a day in the studio. I’m a producer. I’m a writer. What I do is different.”
And I had to include this story because it reminds me of a favourite childhood film. Carol Burnett, who I remember best for her hilarious role in the original Annie film, is returning to TV! She will be in a new TV comedy that is being exec produced by Amy Poehler and Michael Saltzman. Reports say it’s about a family who gets a chance to buy the house of their dreams which they normally couldn’t afford, but it comes with a catch – they must live with the current owner, an older actress (played by Burnett).
