The “creepy clown” sightings are making their way closer and closer. On Sunday, the OPP in Caledon received reports of a person dressed as a clown in a park and two kids said they were approached by the clown and fled. They were not injured, but certainly shaken up.
Then just yesterday, the OPP received calls from the staff at an elementary school in Stayner. Two people in clown costumes were spotted on the property yesterday evening.
Police say people who choose to dress in clown costumes with the intention of intimidating or scaring others could be charged under the Criminal Code or a provincial statute.
You may remember that just last week, we reported on clowns spotted in Alliston. Find the article here.
