Celebrities sure love their lawyers. It’s lawsuits galore in today’s news, starting with Kim Kardashian who filed a federal lawsuit against website MediaTakeOut.com, after it wrote on three separate occasions about her hotel room incident in Paris. Kardashian says the media outlet reported that the robbery was “staged” and that “French authorities” said that Kardashian had “let the robbers [into]” her no-address apartment. Her lawyers say that the media outlet used social media users as official sources for the untrue information.
And the mother of Jim Carrey’s late ex-girflriend, Cathoriona White, filed a lawsuit against him over White’s death. Legal documents obtained by ET Canada confirm the wrongful death suit alleges abuse by Carrey led to White’s suicide in 2015. The lawsuit details Carrey’s positive test for sexually transmitted diseases, which he reportedly knowingly passed on to White, a claim he previously denied.
