If you or someone you know is headed to the hospital today, they may be in for a bit of a longer than normal wait. The hospital released this statement earlier today:
If you’re coming to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital’s Emergency Department or an outpatient clinic today, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, please be advised that you may experience longer than normal wait times, as the hospital is experiencing software issues that are impacting both our clinical and non-clinical computer systems.
The hospital has implemented downtime procedures and is working hard with its Network Engineers and the vendor to rectify the issue, but at the present time do not have an anticipated fix time.
Patients may wait longer for registration, and for lab and diagnostic imaging results to be returned.
We apologize for the inconvenience and ask the public to pack their patience when coming to the hospital today.
Please check cgmh.on.ca and the hospital’s social media channels for further updates.
