A Reddit user, and soon-to-be-bride, has let us in on her interesting (and very, very strange) situation. She says:
“My [23f] oldest sister [31f] offered me $10,000 to ask her to be my MOH instead of my younger sister [20f]. My older sister is a terrible person and we aren’t close. It’s a LOT of money for my fiancé and me but it’s also (hopefully) my only wedding day. I don’t know what to do.”
Yes way. I don’t think you could make this stuff up if you tried.
When I first read this, I couldn’t believe that one sister was offering to pay to be the Maid of Honour – because, in my case, my sister would be paying to get out of being my Maid of Honour. Who wants to pay to deal with a potential “bridezilla”?
Do you think this is crazy? Or would the bride be crazy to not take this deal? $10,000 could buy you a lot of beautiful flower arrangements or a nice honeymoon (or you could save it – but where’s the fun in that?).
