Sometime between the late evening hours of September 10th and the early morning hours of September 11th, 2016, someone broke into 3 unlocked cars parked on Regina BLVD and stole cash. If you have any please contact the Huronia West O.P.P. or Crime Stoppers.
**COLLISION CHARGES – a 39 year old woman from Collingwood has been charged with “Impaired Operation” among other charges. This past Saturday Huronia West OPP responded to a report that a collision had occurred on Fairgrounds Rd at 30/31 SR…but the driver had fled by the time they got there. The accused will appear in court October 4th in Collingwood.
**And a 56 year old Wasaga Beach man has been charged with “Exceed 80 mgs”…the driver was spotted after midnight on Sunday by Huronia West OPP near Beach Area 3. He will appear in court Oct. 11.
** The Collingwood council has officially voted to give unanimous support to the proposal of redeveloping the local G&M Hospital. But the town has yet to vote in support of the hospital’s preferred site of Poplar Sideroad. After discussions at yesterday’s council meeting, it has been decided that a consultant is going to be hired to evaluate the information that the hospital board provided about the location.
**Are you missing an adult tricycle? The Huronia West OPP have found one – On September 8th, 2016 the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recovered an adult tricycle abandoned and believed to be stolen from the area of 45th Street and Ramblewood Drive.
