Last year I was honoured to be invited to participate in the 1st Collingwood Craft Beer and Cider Festival and it was AMAZING! Over 100 different craft beers and ciders to sample! For a beer geek like me, it was also a chance to chat directly with reps from so many great Craft Breweries from all over Ontario!
The set up in the parking lot behind Collingwood’s Town Hall has a fun and festival feel but still very convenient and civilized. Using their own sampler currency you are insured great beer and cider samples without having to open your wallet every five minutes.
Although the attendance last year was spectacular on the sunny day and still impressive during the rain, the giant space surrounded by beer, cider and food vendors never felt desolate or crowded.
It also filled me with pride to have not only locals but so many folks from out of town grooving to our amazing local entertainment.
Early this week I had a chance to chat with Brian Kerr one of the event organizers along with Town of Collingwood’s Director or Marketing and Business Development Martin Rydlo about the return of the festival this weekend!
