One of my biggest pet peeves is when companies change the sizes of a product – and hope that we don’t notice it.
Pop companies are doing that now – making it so the single serve bottles go from 591 ml to 500 ml. Hot dog packages went from 450 g to 375 g.
There’s a whole ton of changes in packaging… all done with the hope that we’re oblivious enough to notice.
I always thought I did notice stuff like that. But, I guess I don’t. I didn’t even notice that this happened – and I buy this product!!
Last year, Saputo shrunk the side of their Neilson milk bags from four litres to three.
Social media exploded with people complaining about the change.
Now, yes, there was a price decrease but in the long run, you were still paying more for getting less.
Saputo has now apologized for their actions and reinstated the 4 litre bag.
