Governments around the world – including here in Canada – are always trying to find new ways to get people to stop smoking.
An Australian research company may have the answer.
A colour… and yes, according to research, a colour might just motivate people to stop smoking…and they say this colour is perfect simply because they found that the majority of people think it’s the ugliest colour that exists.
Pantone 448C is between brown and green and researchers say that if all cigarette packages were that colour, it would turn people off.
So, Australia now requires that the colour appears on all cigarette packages – the UK is now moving in the same direction.
Not everyone is happy about this – especially the people at the Pantone Color Institute who say they consider all colors to be equal – and there’s no such thing as an ugly colour.
Here’s the colour… yes, pretty much the same colour as olives… what do you think of it?
