A kindergarten girl at a school in Brighton, Colorado has been suspended for a full day.
She was caught at recess running around playing with her bubble blowing gun.
Her Mom didn’t realize her daughter had taken the gun to school and apologized to the school. She said that she appreciated the school trying to keep the kids safe but she said there should also be some common sense. After all, she said, this blows bubbles.
The school stands by their decision saying that any weapon, real or facsimile, leads to a suspension – they’ve even suspended students who brought Nerf guns to school.
I can see both sides of this story – and, to be honest, I’m not sure whose side I’m on.
