Goodwill was in major debt when it declared bankruptcy on February 7th.
CityNews is reporting it had 6 million dollars in debt.
There was 13 hundred dollars in its bank account, 835 thousand dollars in assets and more than 6 million in liabilities.
Most of the debt is owed to its 430 former employees.
The Barrie and Orillia stores are among those that shut down with no warning.
The non-profit group had operated for more than 80 years in Ontario providing affordable goods and helping people gain access to training and work.
