Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell is recovering in hospital after suffering a heart attack early Tuesday.
His management company says Mitchell underwent emergency surgery in Toronto and will remain hospitalized for another day or so before returning
home to recover for six to eight weeks.
Mitchell has long been part of the Canadian music scene, first as lead singer and guitarist for Max Webster in the 1970s before going solo with such
hits as “Go For Soda,” “Patio Lanterns” and “Rock N’ Roll Duty.”
Mitchell lived in Collingwood for many years.
